HOW LONG WILL MY BALLOONS FLOAT WITH HELIUM?
Though many factors can influence the duration time of a balloon, normally an inflated latex balloon with helium should last 18 to 24 hours. Foil helium balloons can retain for much longer, often remaining inflated for 3 to 7 days. It all depends where you place them and the room temperature they are placed in. Helium is sensitive to temperature changes. Cold air causes the helium to shrink, which makes the balloon appear deflated, although it still floats. Heat can cause the helium to expand and the balloon to burst. Latex balloons are also sensitive to light. Therefore, the best place to store a helium balloon is a cool, dark room absent of wind and temperature changes.
ARE THEY ECO FRIENDLY?
Latex is harvested by tapping the rubber tree in a manner that does not harm the tree. Each tree—and there are billions—consumes CO2,thus reducing global warming. When latex is processed, each part of the product is used. After the tree no longer produces latex, it is harvested and its wood is turned into lumber. Each year mature trees are tapped, old trees are harvested, new trees are planted, and CO2 is consumed.
Foil balloons are NOT biodegradable but we recycle and try to reuse them as much as we can. You can too send us a message to find out how.
CAN I HAVE MY BALLOONS A DAY BEFORE MY EVENT?
Here at Saff we use Hi-Float in all of our latex balloons. Hi-Float is a liquid sealant used to coat the interior surface of latex balloons and reduces the speed at which helium escapes through the latex skin. Hi-Float is non-toxic and water soluble. So YES! If you order latex balloons they will last between 3 to 7 days when treated with Hi-Float. Foil balloons can last 3 to 7 days. Air-filled balloons generally last for a couple of weeks, but they will not float.
HOW DO I PROLONG THE FLOAT TIME?
A few tips on how to prolong your float time
Remove from the bag as soon as you get home and shouldn't be kept in the bag longer than an hour.
Balloons thrive in room temperature
Keep away from direct air from air vents and direct sunlight from windows.
Keep away from anything sharp or rough walls.
Do not leave them in your car to be stored.
Following all these steps will help your balloons reach max float time.
